VLM corrosion test cabinets provide best conditions for the conduction of high humidity tests due to its unique design. The bottom, rear wall and roof are made of stainless steel coated with Halar® (ECTFE), a fluorine polymer used in chemical apparatus engineering. Hence there is a quick transfer of the heat from the heaters below the bottom into the water bath. So the water evaporates and condensates very evenly. The cases are protected from draught and sun radiation by outer walls. The best reproducibility of the climate is achieved by the patented CWC-System, which keeps the temperature of the upper space of the
chamber constant. ... More VLM CON cabinets for alternating water condensation tests are equipped with the working system “AIR”. That means that ambient air is introduced into the chamber by a fan. The air is evenly distributed to the chamber by a perforated pipe in order to dry the specimen evenly.
Due to the innovative design and the advanced microprocessor PID controllers the CON cabinets offers an optimum of temperature stability and consequently of the comparability of the test results.

High humidity and Kesternich test cabinets

We offer a variety of table top models with a chamber capacity of 300 and 400 L as well as 1000 L cabinets for conducting of tests requiring:

  • Condensation atmosphere with constant humidity
    persuant to ISO 6270-2 (CH)
  • Condensation climate with alternating humidity and air temperature
    persuant to ISO 6270-2 (AHT)
  • Condensation climate with alternating air temperature
    persuant to ISO 6270-2 (AHT)
All these cabinets can be equipped with the CWC-System.

400 L Cabinet CON 400-S A-KES to conduct fully automatic Kesternichtests persuant to ISO 69888

This cabinet is equipped with the working system water condensation „CON“ with CWC System and the working system „AIR“ and provides best climate conditions for conducting water condensation and Kesternichtests. Please note that the water is only heated up by the heaters below the water bath. As we do not apply any circulating pump the surface of the water remains quiet. This is essential concerning the absorption of the SO2 comparable to the climate in manually operated Kesternich chambers.
The SO2 is measured by an advanced massflowmeter and monitored by the PLC which controls the complete test procedure. The CON 400-S AKES cabinet meets high requirements of safety and convenience. If necessary an extension by installing the working system “SAL” salt spray is possible, thus fully automatic cycling corrosion tests can be carried out.

High Humidity chest models 600 L or 1000 L capacity

We offer chest models for high humidity tests which can be furnished either with a transparent cover or with the double shelled stainless steel cover in case the CWC-System is required. These “HD” chests are especially suitable for heavy specimens.
The walls of the chamber of SAL EC chest type models are made of polypropylene. However, to achieve a good heattransfer the bottom is also made of stainless steel coated with Halar®. For this reason the testing chamber is not only being heated up rapidly but also the water evaporates very evenly. The sensitive temperature control system provides a good stability, accuracy and reproducibility of the climate conditions.
